PRISA Partners with the Nedbank IMC to Advance Industry Excellence

PRISA and Nedbank IMC: Partnering for progress

The Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa (PRISA) has formed a strategic partnership with the Nedbank Integrated Marketing Conference (Nedbank IMC), reinforcing a shared commitment to professional excellence, industry collaboration and the continued development of Africa’s marketing and communications profession.

The partnership brings together two organisations committed to advancing professional standards, fostering innovation and creating opportunities for meaningful engagement across the communications and marketing sectors. As the relationship between public relations, marketing and business strategy continues to evolve, the partnership reflects a shared commitment to equipping professionals with the insights, skills and networks required to lead in a rapidly changing environment.

Recognised as Africa’s Biggest Marketing Conference, the Nedbank IMC has established itself as a leading platform for thought leadership and professional development. The conference brings together marketers, communicators, business leaders, entrepreneurs, creatives and students to explore ideas, technologies and strategies shaping the future of marketing, brand building and stakeholder engagement.

The 2026 conference will take place on 17 September 2026 at Mosaïek Teatro, Johannesburg, with virtual attendance also available. Under the theme Shift Happens™ – Are You Ready? the conference will examine the forces reshaping marketing and communications, including artificial intelligence, creativity, accountability, measurement, attention economics and African insight with global relevance.

As part of the partnership, PRISA members will receive a 15% discount on both virtual and in-person conference tickets, while selected PRISA student members will receive complimentary virtual access to the conference. These benefits reflect the shared commitment of both organisations to continuous professional development and support the next generation of communication and marketing professionals.

Dale Hefer, Founder and CEO of the Nedbank IMC, welcomed the partnership as an important step in strengthening collaboration across the communications and marketing professions.

“Our partnership with PRISA reflects a shared belief that collaboration is essential to advancing professional excellence. The Nedbank IMC was established to create a platform that challenges conventional thinking, encourages meaningful dialogue and equips professionals to navigate change with confidence. We look forward to working alongside PRISA to create greater opportunities for learning, connection and industry growth.”

Caroline Azionya, President of PRISA, said the organization sees strong alignment between its strategic priorities and the objectives of the conference.

“A core part of PRISA’s mandate is advancing professional standards, supporting continuous learning and contributing to the development of the communications profession. The Nedbank IMC has established itself as a respected platform that brings together leading voices from marketing, communications and business. Partnering with initiatives that promote knowledge sharing, innovation and professional excellence is aligned with our commitment to ensuring communication professionals remain equipped to lead in a rapidly evolving environment.”

The partnership reflects PRISA’s commitment to collaborating with credible industry platforms that strengthen professional practice and create opportunities for learning, innovation and meaningful industry engagement. Through the partnership, PRISA and the Nedbank IMC will work together to promote dialogue, encourage cross-disciplinary collaboration and support the continued advancement of the communications and marketing profession across Africa.
