He worked as a journalist for 20 years, having started as a freelance sports reporter on the Golden City Post and subsequently worked for various media publications.
• Ferial Haffajee, editor of the City Press newspaper and previously the editor of the Mail & Guardian. She is a Board Member at the IWMF (International Women's Media Foundation).
• Anton Harber is the Caxton Professor of Journalism and Media Studies and Director of the Journalism Programme at the University of the Witwatersrand. Harber has had a long career in journalism, media management and the training of journalists.
