About the speaker:
Claire Barnard has over 12 years of experience in public relations and has worked for a broad client base, ranging from blue chip companies to NGOs. She ran her own public relations company for two years during which she focused on marketing communication, media relations and writing. She is now the director of corporate communication for Vision Integrated, where she is responsible for the development of communication strategies, media liaison and writing.
Claire holds an Honours Degree in Communication (Cum Laude) from the Rand Afrikaans University, now the University of Johannesburg. She has lectured at Varsity College in Sandton for the past eight years, specialising in media studies, and also guest lectures at the Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa (PRISA) from time to time.
