We know the frustration of trying to find meaning when “cans of worms” seem to permeate our projects and no-one knows where to start or how to make sense of the chaos.
Project management is about getting an important piece of work done in a specific time and according to a previously allocated budget. Project management principles are powerful techniques for achieving results and the workshop will focus on both planning and implementing projects from a public relations perspective.
This two-day hands-on programme has been designed to give practitioners the skills and tools to manage projects or to assist project managers on large projects. It touches on the most important aspects of the project management discipline as captured in the internationally recognised Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®).
The workshop is highly practical with measurable results and creative exercises to teach practitioners how to satisfy customers in the fast world in which they are operating.
The focus throughout is on the use of typical project management tools in communication projects. These include Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Gantt Charts, programme schedules, and many others. Feedback from previous delegates indicate that many of them were able to employ these tools and techniques equally effectively in the planning and management of large events.
